Easy Rider, Eusebio Guerra, 2013. Acrylic painting on wood panel inspired by the film “Easy Rider”  (1969, Dennis Hopper). In this artwork i played with the texture of the wood panel and the acrylic paint mixed with water to create watercolours effects on wood.
The hull shape is now the head of the dog: blue with white stars of the American flag. The nose has the red stripes. The smoke, the drugs, the roads, the story, the legend…

Working with floppy disks.

The floppy disk was one of my most valuated items in my youth. In these floppy disks I kept my first games, mp3s, photos and sexual pictures i took from the net.

These disquettes still smell to those days when computer revolution started. The idea of using it, is to give a personal value to my artwork. They were part of my life, and now are part of my art.

They are like relics that now i use to make these special gods. Gods of things.

Trabajando con floppy disks (disquetes).

El disquete fue uno de mis objetos de más valor en mi juventud. En esos disquetes guardaba mis primeros juegos, mp3, fotos e imagenes de contenido sexual.

Estos disquetes aún huelen a aquellos días en los que la revolución digital empezó. La idea de usarlos, es la de darle un valor personal a mi obra. Ellos fueron parte de mi vida, y ahora son parte de mi arte.

Son como reliquias que ahora utilizo para crear estos dioses. Los dioses de las cosas.

My first Animations: Paff 1 (1996), Paff 2 (1997)

Animation is hard, but harder if you do it by yourself and you only have a windows 95 pc with a pentium I processor and a free mouse. So, you only need two things: imagination and time, and i used to have a lot of these things when i was younger.
In those times, i usually worked with Corel Draw 5, Paint Shop Pro, Adobe Premier 1.1. and a shareware program called Dave´s Tga Program Animator.


In 1996 i made "Paff 1" a silly short animation and was published in the CD-ROM inside PC MANIA (nº57)  (July, 1997; spanish computer magazine) (click here to download ISO). In these times, i was more interested in making electronic music than animation or painting, also animation were complicated than make music, but lot of people told me to continue and finally i made in 1997 the sequel "Paff 2".

The Music

Music and sounds are very important in animation. In these two animations you will hear some themes and of course, sound effects mostly made by myself.
In Paff 1, you can hear a Bob Marley song called "Don't rock my boat". In Paff 2, you can listen to Timothy Brock & the Olympia Chamber Orchestra ("Industrial march") , Fatboy Slim ("10th & Crenshaw") and The Palace Brothers.

So simple animations, but so fresh!
